|
|
Last nite our junior President Grant Turner went to a Divisional meeting of Central Coast delegates Scott Wyatt, Geoff Walker, Chris Warwick yayda, yada, yada.
He mentioned that he thought everybody should get behind the Central Coast Bears if the Central Coast REALLY wanted a side in the NRL competition, he got shot down in flames, poor Grant.
I just can't believe the short sightedness of these officials, the said that they've got to stick behind the Newcastle Knights as they are supporting and giving money to the local league.
I thought the CRL were providing all of the money and that the Knights are only supporting the Central Coast Centurians representative sides, honestly who wants the drug related Knights backing our local jnuior league anyway, honestly what great role models.
Wyong junior President and good friend of mine Mick Leaudais formerly Mick Davis is also a fan on the Central Coast Bears facebook page, the support is up here except with the officals who have been in the job for 100 years.
I know Geoff Walker also hated the Storm when they were involved with the local league.
Anyway I'll know more of what went down when I turn up to training today. |

I pretty much expected something like that.
I can understand that while the Knights are there they may not want to openly support an opposition to them.
But is this the only reason or is it an excuse for a stand against a CCB?
In RL club world (even it areas like local government) there appears to be 2 approaches -
The officials know and understand what the members want and represent it or
They believe that because they are elected they need not refer to the members and make decisions based on their view.
And its a hard thing to counter. The only way is to get everyone you know to write in and when the public AGM comes along stand up and have your say. |

You cannot expect anything else from those dinosaurs.
They have their own pathetic empires to protect and they get their cut from Newcastle or whoever, so they will never support the Bears.
They are the same dogs who white anted the Bears when they originally moved a decade ago. |

just keep pushing for the CCBears Magpies.. and as Steve said, just get the rest of the clubs on side.. all though I think majority are anyway.. the only way they are going to get an NRL side on the CC is through what ther Bears are doing, and thats it..Newcastle have enough problems of their own, I can't see how they can keep worrying about the CC division as well..Ourimbah are doing the right thing as are Woy Woy, terrigal and all the others..once the CCBears are up and running there will be enough funds to go around to all junior clubs and Reps..but as Steve said, it would be a bit hard for them openly to come out supporting the CC Bears when they are alligned with newcastle, and the NSW Cup hasn't even started yet..
just direct them to the CCBears website, and then say have a look at their own... |

| Typical response by the CCRL Division officals. As long as we get the clubs onside who cares what the fossils want. They are only worried about their blazers. Keep pshing the bid and we will get over the line. Scott Wyatt and co have shown their true colours. They would rather be a reserve grade team than the Coast have our NRL own team. |

Its just really disappointing, I want all the Central Coast clubs to really get behind the Bears, I just can't wait for when the CCBears are accepted then I'll really GLOAT.
I'll find more info off of Grant today as I said, you cares what division says, they can't tell the clubs what to do.
Wyong left to join the Newcastle competition and the Entrance are in the Bundi Cup formerly Jim Beam Cup once again, is there a reason nobody wants to play on the Coast anymore.
For anybody interested the night of the NRL trial double header at Bluetongue the other week Wyong played the Entrance in a trial at Morrie Breen Oval and won 26-12, Wyong lost their captain after 5 mins and their halfback after 10 mins but still managed a convincing win.
Trust me even though it was labelled a trial both sides went all out. |

I remember back in the 80's, the successful lllawarra, Canberra & Newcastle bids were not backed by the local officials. They were too worried about losing their own roles.
In fact, Newcastle were the front-runners for 1982 inclusion (ahead of Canberra & Illawarra), but the bid was derailed by self interested local club identities.
You wonder if this current mob have the coast's interests in mind at all |

So who is going to stand and get these guys voted off the CCRL board
If all of the clubs are for the CC Bears then its time they stand together and at teh next AGM or call for a exrtaudinary meeting to vote them off the board
Usually the extraordinary meeting only needs something like 100 members to sign a petition |

I agree.
these self-intersted dinosaurs did nothing to get an NRL team over decades. Then, the Bears instigate the building of the world class stadium and these ungrateful old wankers show absolutely zero gratitude.
If it wasn't for the Bears sacrificing millions of dollars and maintaining a 10 year fight, the Central coast would never have an NRL team. They're too thick to understand. |
