The North Sydney Bears Supporters' Player of the Year is back again in 2009, with a slightly different voting format.

This is an opportunity for supporters to vote for the players who they think have performed the best throughout the 2009 season.

How it works
· Bears supporters can vote for their top five NSW Cup players of the year by voting on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, with 5 votes going to the best player. Remember to consider performances from the whole season.
· You can send me your votes by private message. Simply click the icon at the bottom of this post.
· Players and their families and friends are not allowed to vote.
· The player with the most points at the end of the year wins the Supporters’ Player of the Year.

I am finding this quite tough. Trying to rank the credentials of Wara's faultless season at the back, Trembath's relentless go forward, Robinson's 22 tries from 20 games, Apps great form at lock, Baird's consistency.

I am going to have to have a good think

Interesting to note that three of the four winners have gone on to play in the NRL.

I have been to about a dozen Bears games this year (at least). Given, I have to forgo weekend work (and travel) to do this it comes at a significant cost to me. Just about all of the games I wasn't at, my brother was so I am well placed to comment on my favourite player for the year.

I have to agree here with this guy this time..Grizzly should be the man.. he was a Central Coast junior from Ourimbah before he played for Manly..

and has been consistent all year..Reece Robinson, would also be a good choice..I think we might end up loosing Robbo.. highest Try scorer in the comp.. and a bloody nice bloke..(For a former sharky) Very Happy he'll have a point to prove this weekend I'm betting on his best game of the season..

It is planned to be held after the season. Possibly 16 October.

Can you let us know the details (cost, venue etc) as soon as possible?

I encourage all Bears supporters to get there and this will be the best way to celebrate what was a successful season for us and our young team.

A Friday night. Sounds like it could be a big one!!!!

There were only a handful of supporters last year in what is really a good night.

It's a great chance to show support to the team and also mingle with the players in a relaxed environment. Highly recommended.
